cuppa love

Here is this week's challenge in Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers year-long class. It's my very own milk mug from when I was a little girl...as I finished my milk the little character inside the cup magically appeared! Each of us four kids had our own mug. On the side of the mug are images of Humpty Dumpty, the Three Little Bears, the Old Woman in the Shoe and others, and this: "Guess who is at the bottom of your mug?" What a clever way to encourage a kid to "finish your milk."

I shot it with my Canon Rebel T3i + my Lensbaby plastic optic. Then a bit of photoediting in CS6, following one of Kim's amazing tutorials with a couple of her wonderful textures. Clearly I am having too much fun!
